Our sponsorship program aims to help other non-governmental organizations in the process of removing 40,000 or more orphans and needy children from the streets and getting them back into schools through one-to-one child sponsorships. During the past 22 years of war, these children have survived by begging on the streets. Yet another crime is on the rise: the little girls are being used for prostitution and trafficking, and they are taken to other countries and sold for similar purposes. We not only need to get them off the streets and into schools away from begging, but more importantly away from this deadly industry. Now that war has ended, these children must be encouraged to return to school and focus on their education, so they can become employed, self sufficient, and responsible adults.
